Wow, what a start! You guys brought so much laughter, fun and joy. The wheelbarrows have been rolling across the fields all weekend, and the farm has been full of laughter, excitement and autumn magic.
After months of planning, growing, building, painting, planting, decorating and preparing for our biggest event yet, it was a joy to welcome so many of you to the opening weekend of our Pumpkin Picking & Halloween Trail in Surrey.
Seeing families, friends and little adventurers exploring the fields, choosing their perfect pumpkins and making precious autumn memories made all the hard work worthwhile.
One of Surrey’s Biggest Pumpkin Picking Experiences

This year, our fields are bursting with 12 varieties of pumpkins and squash, giving visitors plenty of choice when searching for the perfect pumpkin.
From tiny ornamental gourds and unusual heritage squash to classic carving pumpkins and giant statement specimens, there were wheelbarrows overflowing with autumn colour all weekend long.
One of the highlights was watching children carefully inspecting every pumpkin in search of “the one”, while parents attempted to navigate increasingly overloaded wheelbarrows back to the food village!
Whether you’re looking for pumpkins for carving, decorating your doorstep, creating autumn displays or simply enjoying a traditional pumpkin patch experience, our fields are packed with choice. And the summer heat – albeit unbearable at times – was a blessing for our harvest – the pumpkins thrived under the hot sun and our fields have never looked so packed.
Brave the Brand-New Haunted House
One of the biggest talking points of the weekend was our exciting new Haunted House attraction.
Visitors young and old queued up to see what awaited behind the mysterious entrance, with plenty emerging laughing, screaming and promising they’d never go back in… before promptly joining the queue again!
The Haunted House has added an extra layer of Halloween fun to this year’s event and has quickly become one of the must-do attractions for visitors looking for a Halloween event in Surrey that’s packed with surprises.
Magic, Mischief and Family Fun
Of course, the pumpkins are only part of the story. Throughout the weekend our resident hilarious magician had crowds of children in stitches, delivering plenty of giggles, gasps and wonderfully daft entertainment.
Across the farm, families enjoyed games, activities and plenty of opportunities for photographs among the pumpkins and autumn decorations.
For many visitors, it’s this combination of pumpkin picking, entertainment, seasonal food and countryside atmosphere that makes the event one of the most popular family Halloween days out in Surrey. Some of you were coming for the very first time, some of you came for the 15th year in a row – taking treasured family photos in front of the pumpkin wall with children much taller (and way cooler!) than that very first visit…
Seasonal Food Worth Visiting For
After all that pumpkin picking and adventuring, visitors were able to refuel with some seriously good food. Our famous seasonal pumpkin menu hitting the spot once again with a sell out on curry, soup and cake on day 1.
Meanwhile, Crumpy’s incredible burgers kept hungry pumpkin hunters fuelled throughout the day with their legendary smash burgers and loaded specials.
And for those needing a warming pick-me-up before another lap of the farm, The Coffee Can was serving up exceptional coffee that proved just as popular as ever.
