FAQ’s

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our exciting PYO events. Here’s everything you need to know in advance of booking tickets:

 ARE TICKETS REFUNDABLE?

We understand that sometimes life doesn’t always go as planned, but unfortunately all of our pre-booked tickets are non-refundable and are valid for the session they have been booked for only.

WHAT DOES MY TICKET PRICE COVER?

Your ticket price contributes to creating a memorable day out. For adults, it covers the essential event infrastructure, including our marquees, comfortable seating, dedicated staff, rustic hay bale arrangements, restroom facilities, and the overall setup that ensures a seamless experience. Plus, you’ll enjoy live music in our beautiful picking fields.

Children’s tickets encompass all of the above, along with exclusive entertainment like a magician and petting zoo (for Asparagus & Rhubarb Weekend), engaging farm games, and a delightful farm trail with a prize at the end. We’ve carefully curated every element to ensure a truly special visit.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR?

The following activities and attractions are NOT included in the price of your entry ticket and additional costs will incur.

  • Glitter tattoos
  • Waffle on a stick
  • Craft Stall
  • Coffee Cart
  • Food and Drink
  • PYO Asparagus and Rhubarb

WHAT TIME DO YOU CLOSE?

The events open at 11am and gates close at 4pm every day. You are welcome to come along at any point in the day. We’d recommend you arrive no later than 2pm to ensure you make the most out of the day and picking fields.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR MY BABY / TODDLER?

Toddlers and babies under 2 years old do not require an admission ticket and may enter with a full paying adult.

DO YOU TAKE CARDS?

Yes. We accept both cards and cash.

CAN I TURN UP AND PAY AT THE GATE?

As we are a ticketed attraction, most days are fully booked in advance. We strongly advise you to book online beforehand to ensure you don’t miss out!

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the event area only. However, due to health & hygiene reasons, dogs aren’t permitted in the fields or polytunnels for the picking part of the day. With this being an even with lots of children, dogs must remain on leads in the event area and any mess picked up immediately.

HOW MUCH ARE THE STRAWBERRIES & ASPARAGUS?

Price will be calculated on the day in accordance with the weight of your purchase. We aren’t mass producers of any particular crop and whilst we work hard to keep our prices fair, please bear in mind we can’t always match the price points of supermarkets.

CAN I BRING MY OWN CONTAINER?

We’d prefer it if you use ours, as we know the exact weight. However, you are welcome to bring your own. Please just make sure it is weighed before you fill it up.

CAN I BRING MY OWN PICNIC?

Only food and drink purchased at the event may be consumed in the event enclosure. Hot and cold drinks and snacks will be available from 11am, with hot food served from 12pm.

I HAVE AN ALLERGY OR FOOD INTOLERANCE, CAN YOU HELP?

We understand the importance of accommodating all food allergies and intolerances. Your safety and enjoyment are our priority. While we strive to provide diverse food and drink options on the day please email us at info@secretts.co.ukahead of your booked, and we’ll be able to provide detailed information on what is available and discuss how we can best cater to your individual needs.

MY FAMILY MEMBER HAS ADDITIONAL NEEDS / IS DISABLED CAN YOU OFFER ANY HELP?

Please email info@secretts.co.uk ahead of your visit and we will help where possible. We are a working farm which has uneven terrain. And if we have wet weather this makes it even more inaccessible.

IS THERE PARKING?

We offer plenty of free parking on-site. Follow the signs for the PYO area and avoid blocking the farm shop parking. Please note that entry and exit will be through the Chapel Lane Entrance only, and the Squires Centre will be closed during the event.

WHAT IF IT’S RAINING?

We’re open rain or shine! To ensure your comfort, especially on rainy days or after wet weather, we recommend wearing wellington boots as much of the event is held on a grassy field. We also provide a spacious marquee with undercover seating for your convenience.
